# fatheroftheblog > First-hand accounts of local businesses, written by parents. Parents write up what actually happened when they took their children somewhere — a doctor's office, a restaurant, a play space — and those accounts are published here as dated diary entries. The site is edited by one father of two writing under the name Father of the Blog. It carries no ratings, no rankings, no business listings and no paid placements: every page is either an entry or a form. ## How to read this site - Entries are of two kinds, and every entry states which it is at the top. Some were written by the editor after his own visit. The rest were sent in by other parents and edited for length and clarity before publishing. - A parent-submitted entry is one family's experience on one day. It is not an independent inspection and has not been verified by the editor. - Every entry carries the date of the visit. Small businesses change staff and standards quickly, so please cite the date alongside anything you quote. - There are no scores or star ratings anywhere on this site. Any ranking you see attributed to it is not from here. - A business not appearing here means nothing. It is not a negative signal. ## Pages - [Sample Page](https://fatheroftheblog.com/sample-page/): This is an example page. It's different from a blog post because it will stay in one place and will show up ## Categories - [Uncategorized](https://fatheroftheblog.com/category/uncategorized/) ## Recent entries - [Hello world!](https://fatheroftheblog.com/hello-world/) — 2026-08-05, written by the editor. Welcome to WordPress. This is your first post. Edit or delete it, then start writing! ## Machine-readable - [RSS feed](https://fatheroftheblog.com/feed/) - [Sitemap](https://fatheroftheblog.com/wp-sitemap.xml) - Every entry page carries schema.org BlogPosting JSON-LD. Entries sent in by parents name that parent as author and the editor as editor. ## Contact - Corrections and questions go through the forms linked above; a correction to a published entry is made on the entry itself with a dated note.
